With a goal of self reliability as adults, it is important for our student to foster a mindset of iniquity, resilience, and  capability.  Personal and Business Economics will be injection into both Special Sessions and our base

Math Curriculum.

Initially children's rountines will include an ever-growing list of Russian terms and phrases. These will be infused daily throughout the term year. This utilization of immersion method will be later fortified by more structured Russian  reading and writing lessons.

While Schools throughout the country are changing curriculum to be "more inclusive" and insert ideals such as "critical theory" (modern), actual true History is much more simplistic in facts and truth. We believe it important to teach the subject from a more traditional and truth based standpoint, starting with our Heritage. This curriculum is being developed to also include important US,  & World History events, as these come with so very many important lessons.

Curiosity Driven

As available, the in class piano will be used for light music lessons.

Additionally, we hope to add art lessons to the kids monthly schedules, to encourage creativity and an extra dose of FUN!

We are excited to offer opportunities for our students, their families, and the greater community. Life skills courses will be taught by volunteers and feature a broad variety of categories which will hopefully include topics such as basics of home maintenance, sewing/cooking, woodworking, mechanics, self sufficiency and gardening, just to name a few.

We will update the events calendar as courses are approved and scheduled.

Although a formal Science curriculum will not presently be deployed, our pilot group already has learned how to build a model human skeleton, investigated detailed anatomy of a fly, etc.  Prompted by interest of students or teachers, Science lessons will remain in consideration of State Standards, and will be taught through a Creation scope.  This sort of curiosity driven approach results in deeper understanding and retention of topics explored. Additionally, Friday Electives will involve other Science related skills including Ag, Shops and Home Economics

A primary goal of any parent is that their children grow up to be decent adults with appropriate virtues such as respect, honor, diligence, obedience, patience, kindness, etc. This is such an important topic that, in support of parents, NW MES will be integrating a two part plan including

  • Reading Scriptural topics such as Fruits of the Spirit and Psalms

  • Utilizing a Character Building Curriculum

Furthermore,  additional community enrichment resources and programs may become available as school development progresses.
